Installation

How do I download and install the desktop application for GitPat?

Buy a monthly license at the GitPat.com shop. Download the installation program onto your Windows 10 or 11 computer, and double click the GitPat installer. Accept all requests (Yes or OK), let the installer run, and you are ready.

Pricing

Is GitPat free?

No, but it will save you money. A month-long license to GitPat costs $20. GitPat will pay for itself rapidly, becasue it lets to focus on billable work instead of tedious work an administrative assistant could do–if only he knew how! Our Citation Tool is available only to approved beta testers, and we will be charging a per-patent fee for it.

Security

Is my work confidential?

Yes! Keeping your work confidential is one of the most important design principles at GitPat. Because GitPat.exe is a desktop application that does not send any data from your computer to GitPat, your work is completely confidential.

Features

Is the patent quotation and citation feature available?

This feature needs a little more time to bake as we apply the finishing touches. Keep an eye out for this around June 2022.

There was mention of file histories?

We intend to make this feature available alongside, or right behind, GitPat’s citation feature. Expect to see this file histories feature in Q3 or Q4 2022.
